About Sarah

Therapeutic Orientation

My understanding of human beings, relationships, and the possibility for healing and change is grounded in the 7 core assumptions of restorative justice work.

  • The true self in everyone is good, wise, and powerful.
  • The world is profoundly interconnected.
  • All human beings have a deep desire to be in a good relationship.
  • All humans have gifts, and everyone is needed for what they bring.
  • Everything we need to make positive change is already here.
  • Human beings are holistic.
  • We need practices to build habits of living from the core self.

My work integrates several theoretical orientations including family systems, solution focused, narrative, trauma-informed, and mindfulness based therapies. I have also completed my 200-hour yoga teacher certification and incorporate these practices into the talk therapy context. My current approaches are informed by my prior experiences working with children, families, and adults across outpatient, home based, and partial hospital (PHP) settings.

I work with English-speaking, adult clients of all backgrounds. I am committed to providing culturally affirming care. My goal is to create a partnership in which we can collaboratively identify and work towards your goals. Each session I will use authenticity, humor, and empathy to invite you into a safe space for reflection, learning, and healing. I encourage each client to hold self-compassion throughout the therapeutic process.
